AFTER-CARE EYELINERS
Post eyeliner procedure, you will go through a healing process for 5-7 days. In this time it is common for eyelids to swell, inflame and be very sore to blink. They will itch and scab around day 3-5. DO NOT peel the scabbing, let it come off naturally. Otherwise, the procedure will heal with discoloration, or will heal unevenly, and patchy.
DO NOT WET YOUR EYES FOR 5-7 DAYS.
When showering, be sure to face away from the shower head to avoid getting your eyes wet. In addition be sure to avoid long baths, steam rooms, saunas, and high intensity workouts. Sweat is also a way to "wet" the eyelids so it is crucial to follow all precautions.
PRODUCTS & COSMETICS
After the procedure, be sure to avoid any products on the eyelids especially mascara & eyeshadow to prevent irritation and possibility of introducing infection. DO NOT apply any vaseline or petroleum jelly or "healing' creams to the procedure area because it will trap oxygen from entering and allowing the skin to "breathe" and heal properly. The eyelids are a delicate part of the skin and must be treated with much care.
SUNLIGHT & TANNING
Be sure to avoid direct sunlight & tanning beds for the next 5-7 days. If you are planning to go on vacation with a lot of sunlight- be sure to schedule your appointment around that timeframe. In addition, be sure to avoid any facial procedures for at least 14 days after the procedure.
SANITATION
To avoid the spread of germs & infection, wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes. In addition, change your pillow case the night of your procedure to ensure cleanliness.
SCHEDULE TOUCH-UP
To ensue your best results, it is time to book a touch-up procedure 6-8 weeks post initial appointment. This is done to correct any imperfections and allow the artist to see how the pigment does with each individuals' skin. Gives a chance to darken the color or adjust shape imperfections.
