BEFORE BOOKING
ALLERGIES & MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Before you book, it is essential to ensure you have no allergies to the products, pigments, and supplies that we use. In addition, you must notify us of any medical or skin conditions you have for us to determine which procedure is safest and most effective for you! Please txt, email, or chat us before your appointment to notify us of any allergies, medical, or skin conditions you have so we can make adjustments or take additional precautions.
AGE / MATURITY OF SKIN
Semi-permanent makeup heals differently on each person but, science has proven that very young skin and likewise very mature skin is not ideal for permanent makeup. Both types of skin happen to be quite thin, and delicate. In addition the skin has either lots of change to still endure or have already gone through much change and now that skin is unable to heal properly having less (or too much) nutrients leaving either too much color for mature clients or fading far too quickly for young clients. At this time, our policy allows clients between the ages of 18-65 only.
MEDICATIONS & FACIAL PRODUCTS
It is very important to notify us of any medications you are taking prior to your appointment. You will be sent a list of questions prior to your appointment from a member of our team with detailed questions about your medications. Be sure to STOP taking fish oil supplements, blood thinning medications, and blood pressure medications at least 3 days prior to your appointment. Do not use retinol products for at least 7 days prior your appointment. (Retinol can be tricky- be sure to check all your skin care ingredients including face wash!)
SKIN TYPE
A certain permanent procedure might suit you better than another on. The determining factor would depend on your skin type. If you have very oily skin, microblading or a combination brow is not recommended. Of course, there are exceptions, and our artist will determine each client individually. Most skin types vary between oily, dry, or a combination of both.
CAFFEINE & ALCOHOL
With permanent makeup being a procedure that breaks the skin during pigment deposits, it is very important to not have any alcohol, coffee, or caffeine at least 12-24 hrs prior to your appointment as caffeine is a natural blood thinner and increases pain sensitivity.
COLD SORES
It is not recommended to get any permanent lip color done if you are prone to cold sores/blisters. Permanent makeup can irritate the tissue and cause an unusually large breakout.
AFTER BOOKING
Once you have booked your appointment, you should receive two confirmations: one via email and one via txt. That email will also include an address and some basic information. I will also reach out and send a list of questions and precautions prior to your appointment. At last- you should receive another reminder 24hrs betore your appointment. Be sure to check out the "After-Care" tab located on the left hand side of the home page in the drop-down or on the bottom of this page!
